How it works:

Welcome to the Best of Cumberland County contest!  We have put together 129 categories - From Food and Drink & Automotive to Healthcare & Entertainment, we've covered it all!  Here is how the contest works - Write in your favorites and submit your ballots between Tuesday, May 1, 2018 and Thursday, May 31, 2018.  Please make sure to read and understand the official rules below as this could affect your vote.  We will then count your votes and determine the top three businesses in each category.  The winners and runner-ups will be announced in a special Best Of edition on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Official Rules:

Readers may vote for Cumberland County businesses on an official double sided ballot that runs in the paper or they may vote online here.  Limit one entry per person.  A minimum of 25 categories must be filled in for ballots to count.  No photocopies, or facsimiles accepted.  Ballots must be mailed separately - one per envelope - or dropped of in person to:  The Sentinel, Best of 2018, 457 East North Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.  NO BULK DELIVERY OF COMPLETED BALLOTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  Ballots must be received by or submitted online by 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, May 31, 2018.  Ballots received after the deadline will be disqualified.  The Sentinel will not be responsible for lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or illegible ballots.  The voting is sponsored by The Sentinel, whose decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found "stuffing the ballot box", tampering with or otherwise abusing any respect of this voting as solely determined by the sponsor.  Should the voting be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, sponsor reserves the right to determine category winners based on the entries received before the termination date.
